New AI and Quantum Initiative in Berlin - PlanQK participates in the kick-off

As a member company of SIBB e.V., the ICT industry association for Berlin and Brandenburg, Anaqor is one of the co-initiators. As part of the new SIBB Forum Artificial Intelligence & Quantum Computing, we embarked on a fascinating journey of exchange and networking with leading players in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.

The inaugural event, organized by SIBB in collaboration with KI Park e.V., provided exciting insights into the world of artificial intelligence and quantum computing on February 20. The discussion on the expectations for AI and QC was moderated by forum speaker Mirko Hillert from iSAQB. Matthias Kaiser from Anaqor, Andreas Schepers from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and Barbara Wellmann from Deloitte contributed their expertise. Matthias Kaiser naturally presented PlanQK, the platform for quantum applications, including in the context of machine learning.

In the subsequent panel discussion, Manfred Rieck from Deutsche Bahn Systel also joined as another expert to answer questions from the participants. Highlights of the discussion included regulatory aspects, such as those outlined in the AI Act, and new technical developments like Sora, a new AI system for generating short videos from text instructions. Finally, concrete challenges and opportunities arising from the increasing integration of AI and quantum computing were discussed, such as addressing critical issues related to climate change.

The event marked a great start for the new SIBB Forum AI & QC. Participants took advantage of the opportunity to connect with thought leaders and innovators from the scene.
